'Tis the season...... *sigh*

Karmatically speaking, is it better to be selfish with a positive attitude, or to do a favor for someone but to feel irritable and put-out the entire time (not to the person's face)? Does a bad attitude undo the generous act?

selfish with a positive attitude, for sure.

anne lammot said once that if you give from a place of trueness, it is more genuine (of course, it was more elequent than that), or that if you say no when you mean no, you are able to say yes from a place of abundance. i'm all for that.

Many years of trial and error have convinced me that doing the right thing for any reason is better than consciously and deliberately doing the wrong thing.

The former amounts to doing the right thing. The latter is bad karma.

The old saying- "No good deed goes unpunished," seems to always come to mind. But kind hearted souls still carry on their good deeds. Take heart, Ms F!

Do the favor. Pretend you like doing it and let praxis help you.
