Fibs

Small
lies,
whispered
excuses,
the stories we tell
to cover up our mistakes: fibs.

Small
poems
written
in homage
to Fibonacci
,
so much geekier than haiku.

I am THRILLED to be linked in the "geekier than haiku" part!

And as one with a newfound and tremendous respect for what you teachers do... thanks for that, too.

I
teach
English;
teenagers
weep and moan about
writing in proper sentences.

Kids
play
with
bunnies,
baby chicks,
and eat chocolate.
They find Easter to be great fun.

Thanks for sharing this idea. What fun! I'm going to do this with my class during Friday Poetry.
